Waterless
17 12 2006I have been thinking a bit about water restrictions especially now that we are about to move into Stage Three which will see an end to washing cars and lots of other uses that have been common for so long.
There’s an article in the paper about which businesses suffer and benefit from the restrictions.
Just the other day we bought some used wheely bins to help us recycle bins and the men at the shop said they are selling heaps of bins to people for this very purpose. Real water tanks are in big demand and you have to wait for month so other businesses and products are getting attention.
I wonder what we will think of as normal water use in just ten more years. Perhaps this change in attitudes to water use will stick. I guess time will tell.
